Putin: Russia can offer preferences to foreign green companies

MOSCOW, Apr 22 (PRIME) -- Russia is ready to offer joint climatic projects and consider preferences for the foreign companies working with green technologies, President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday at a climatic summit.

"I am convinced that the fight to preserve climate is surely aimed at uniting the efforts of the entire global community. Russia is ready to offer a wide range of joint projects, consider preferences even for the foreign companies that would like to invest in clean technologies, including in our country," Putin said.

He said that Russia invites all interested countries to join the scientific research and investment in important climatic projects, and to a more proactive participation in low-carbon technologies development.

The president also said that low-emission energy sources, including nuclear generation, constitute 45% of the Russian energy balance.
